Roubaix Favelas, le nouveau concept du label roubaisien Alouette Street records, une collaboration internationale France, Ghana, Brésil, Angleterre. Un mélange de sonorités Afro, Électro, Rap et Baile Funk. Une rencontre entre producteurs, mc’s / rappeurs, remixeurs et aussi danceurs et graffeurs.

Les instrumentales sont composées entre Roubaix et Londres, les remix entre Dakar et Rio, les mc’s sont Ghanéen et Anglais. Un « melting pot » entre Caraïbe et Afrique, avec une touche d’électro British parfait pour un dancefloor bouillant.

Ce collectif fait suite aux différents voyages d’Edsik, il est allé à la rencontre des brésiliens et des anglais, chez eux, il a ensuite invité certains artistes à Roubaix pour produire le 1er EP six titres.

Introducing Roubaix Favelas, the new international concept project combining Afro-Rap, Uk Grime, Baile Funk and Electro sounds. Released by French label Alouette Street Records, the Ep features international collaborations of producers, MCs, rappers, remixers, graffiti artists and dancers across France, Ghana, Brazil, and England.

The project’s tracks are a blend of original productions from France and UK, while the remixes come from Senegal and Brazil. With the fusion of Caribbean, African, and UK vocals, this collection of songs is ready for the dance floor.

The project follows Edsik’s various travels, meeting the artists on their own turf, then inviting them to Roubaix, Lille to record this six-track EP.
